About Gary Brown.
Gary Brown began his career in real estate in 1969 as a college student marketing properties at Lake Kiowa near Gainesville, Texas. He has worked many years in homebuilding and developing with several diverse companies such as Las Colinas Corporation, a well-known Dallas luxury homebuilder, and as the president of an international partnership. Since the late 1970’s he has built and developed hundreds of homes and lots primarily in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The most recent project being the Mansfield National Golf Course and surrounding development, a 700 acre mixed-use development in Mansfield, Texas.
In 2006 he came full circle back to his roots in lake resort neighborhood development with his first Lake Palestine community, Sunny Bay. In late 2008, Gary finished the first phase of his namesake development Brown’s Landing. Now the second and final phase of Brown’s Landing is open with new lots and homes available to purchase.
Gary is married to Nancy his wife of 43 years, whose East Texas family history go back more than 100 years and include both Tyler and Troup. The couple has two adult children. Their daughter, the Rev. Sunny Farley, is an ordained Methodist minister currently serving as the director of the Wesley Foundation at Tyler Junior College and The University of Texas at Tyler. She is married to Jim, who is a professor at TJC and they have a son, Kai. Gary and Nancy’s son, Nathan, is a film producer and lives in San Francisco with his wife Melissa. Gary and Nancy are members of Lake Palestine United Methodist Church. |
